WHY
SHOULD YOU BE A
CHRISTIAN?
1.
You will no
longer be a child of the devil.
1 John 3:10
--
In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest:
Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does
not love his brother.
2.
You will no
longer be blind.
2 Corinthians 4:4
-- ...whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the
light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should
shine on them.
Ephesians 4:18
--
This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer
walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their
mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated
from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of
the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have
given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
3.
You will
no longer be a slave.
Romans 6:16
--
Do you not know that to whom you present
yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether
of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?
Romans 6:19
--
I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as
you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness
leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of
righteousness for holiness.
4. You will
no longer be on a path to self destruction.
Galatians 6:8
-- For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption (Mental
and Physical).
5. You will no longer be on a path to eternal death.
Romans 6:20-21 --
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are
now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
Romans 6:23
--
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord.
6. You will no longer need to fret about your basic needs.
2 Corinthians 9:8 --
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always
having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every
good work.
Matthew 6:33
--
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these
things (Basic needs) shall be added to you.
7.
You can finally
have true
self-worth.
1 Peter 2:9
--
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a
peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath
called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
8.
You will be rich beyond
comprehension.
1 Corinthians 3:21-22 --
For all things are yours: 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas,
or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come—all are
yours.
Revelation 21:7
--
He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he
shall be My son.
9.
You will have
the greatest honour of all: God and Christ will live in
you.
Colossians 1:27
--
To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
2 Corinthians 6:16
--
For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “ I will dwell in
them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”
10. You will have a most satisfying personal relationship
with your eternal Father.
Romans 8:15
--
For ye have not received
the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of
adoption, whereby we cry, Abba (Dad), Father.
11. You will be transformed over time into the
image of Jesus Christ, thanks to a process directed by God Himself.
Galatians 5: 22 -- But the fruit of the
Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control.
James 3:17
--
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and
easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without
partiality, and without hypocrisy.
10.
You will no
longer fear death.
2 Timothy 1:10
--
Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to
light through the gospel...
11.
You will
have the greatest gift of all – eternal life.
Romans
6:23
--
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord.
12. You will have glory and power beyond human comprehension.
Romans 2:7
--
To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and
honour and immortality, eternal life
Daniel 12:3
--
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and
they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and
ever.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what
we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him;
for we shall see him as he is.

My Father on His throne.

with Him in glory.

will see God.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
