GOD, THE BIBLE AND INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNTABILITY

     Before God, all humans stand alone. We are all "individually" responsible for our thoughts, actions and words. Unless we repent of our sins, we will be consequenced. Repentance will lead to "total" forgiveness.

Ezekiel 18:19-30--"The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. 20 The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. 21 “But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 22 None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has done, he shall live. 23 Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord GOD, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live? 24 “But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All the righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; because of the unfaithfulness of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die. 25 “Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ Hear now, O house of Israel, is it not My way which is fair, and your ways which are not fair? 26 When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity, and dies in it, it is because of the iniquity which he has done that he dies. 27 Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness which he committed, and does what is lawful and right, he preserves himself alive. 28 Because he considers and turns away from all the transgressions which he committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 29 Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, is it not My ways which are fair, and your ways which are not fair? 30 “Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways,” says the Lord GOD. “Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. "

Matthew 12:37

"For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

John 9:41

"Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains."

John 15:22-24

"If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 He who hates Me hates My Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father."

I Corinthians 3: 17

"If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."

Job 21:30

"For the wicked are reserved for the day of doom; They shall be brought out on the day of wrath."

Proverbs 11:31

"If the righteous will be recompensed on the earth, How much more the ungodly and the sinner."

Proverbs 12:14

"A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, And the recompense of a man’s hands will be rendered to him.

Proverbs 24:12

"If you say, “Surely we did not know this,”
      Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it?
      He who keeps your soul, does He not know it?

 And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?"

Psalm 1:1-6

"Blessed is the man
         Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
         Nor stands in the path of sinners,
         Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
         And in His law he meditates day and night.
 3 He shall be like a tree
         Planted by the rivers of water,
         That brings forth its fruit in its season,
         Whose leaf also shall not wither;
         And whatever he does shall prosper.
 4 The ungodly are not so,
         But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
         Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

 6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
         But the way of the ungodly shall perish."
